Don't Call It A Comeback...

Yes, yes, friends...I have been noticeably absent from the blogging world. Was my last post really back in August? Oops. I do have excuses that I'm sure none of you want to hear. :) The biggest being that I'm officially back in school...well, online school. In September I decided to take the leap and enroll in the University of Phoenix online to complete my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This may not have been the smartest move considering I constantly have 1 1/2 year-old underfoot, but I figured now is as good a time as any. I suppose I could try to recount the past 5 months or so, but that would just take too long. Let me just say this: the holidays were crazy, as usual, with two kids, but we're all still alive and kicking here in 2010! Heres hoping for a better blogging year!

Summer's Over...Already?!

Apparently I am just one of those people who was not made to be a blogger. I like to fall off the face of the web for months on end and then suddenly reappear. Sorry. Here's some pics to catch you up to date.

Crazy stuff...can't believe my baby's one and my little girl is in SCHOOL! Preschool has already been some pretty entertaining stuff...lots of stories to come.

School Is Out And Its Sort Of A Buzz...

Summer is here! Hooray! We've recently found a new spot to beach it at. :) So much fun!!

Good thing I have kids who love the beach. Caleb was a little wary at first, but quickly warmed up to the fun. Kaytin has been a beach baby from day one...we were there yesterday evening and she played (even by herself) in the water pretty much the whole time. How lucky we are to live here!

Playing Catch Up

Okay, now that you have all been thoroughly deprived of watching my children grow over the past few months, here are some snippets of what we've been up to.

So you know the saying "a picture's worth a thousand words?" I think this picture is worth a few thousand. You have to look a bit closely to understand, but what Mr. Caleb has there under his hand is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. I love the "what? Me?" look on his face...especially since what you can't see is that directly under his hand he has chewed a hole in the cover of the magazine. Apparently no milk came out of that one.

How lucky are we that we live on Kauai?! Wes has decided recently that he wants to start fishing again and Kaytin has decided that she wants to learn how, too! So one Friday evening after work, we packed everyone up and headed down to the harbor...so much fun! We had dinner and watched a beautiful sunset and Kaytin had a GREAT time (even though all we caught were a few nibbles that day).

Caleb gearing up for his future football career. Don't you love this age when you can do whatever you want to your kids just for the photo op? hahahah....Little Miss Katy celebrated her big F-O-U-R with a "party pool" as she liked to call it. Fun times...I still can't believe my baby girl is four. and will be in preschool. Excuse me while I go wipe away my tears.

This little jokester is going to be TEN months old this weekend!! Crazy. Seriously. Where does the time go?!

Caleb also celebrated his first Boy's Day! Thank you again Papa Harry and Grandma Barbara for his awesome doll! Love it!

And finally, this is how they "play" together. Good thing Katy is still smiling...better get used to it, I guess. I hear this is how little brothers are. :)

Hey Look! It's ME!

Many many apologies cyber world...has it really been over three months since I last posted? Yipes. Remember back in February when I said that there was a cold making its rounds through our home? Well, yeah, it continued to make its rounds for quite some time. Just about a week or two ago we ALL finally felt better...that is, until this past Friday when Caleb started sniffling and coughing again. Looks like we've picked up another bug and the weather lately is NOT helping at all. :( Here's hoping that it will be short lived this time and I'll really be back to update you on what's been happening with the Taba's!

Sick Sick Sickies

Sorry for the absence...we are currently dealing with colds and more colds. Went through round one and lovely enough, all have relapsed. Hoping for everyone to feel better by next week since we are headed off to Honolulu for a weekend getaway! Be back soon...
