M.I.A.

What? Its May? Kind of weird how time gets away from you when you're a stay home mom with what is supposed to be endless time on your hands. How does that happen? Apologies for being non-existent from cyberspace for the past few months! Hopefully this post will help catch all you inquiring minds up on the latest.

So, first and foremost, for any who didn't know...I'm currently 6 1/2 months pregnant with child number two! I know...how do you keep something like that a secret? hahaha. Not that it was a secret, nor can it continue to be since I am officially huge! This baby is due in late July and we are excited to report that according to ultrasounds it is a BOY! Wes is beyond thrilled, but I don't think anyone was happier than my father-in-law to hear that the Sonny Taba line of Taba's will be perpetuated for another generation! Kaytin is anxiously awaiting becoming a big sister and wasn't surprised in the least that she's having a baby brother since she told us from the start that it would be a boy. Exciting times in our little corner of the world. I'm keeping as comfortable as possible and am NOT looking forward to the promise of the summer heat to come. Ugh. As a friend of mine always reminds me, its like my body is 196 degrees, right? (think about it)

Many might know that my sister is getting married in less than a month now, so our weekends have been filled with home and yard work. We are hosting their rehearsal dinner at our house, so we've been working like busy little bees to get things looking as nice as possible. Stay tuned for pictures...especially the entertaining ones of me looking like a pumpkin in my orange matron-of-honor dress!

Little Miss Kaytin turned 3 in April and with it has come the terrible three's. Why does everyone call it the terrible two's when its actually when they're three that the sassiness and all that mess starts emerging? Overall, she's a great little girl and we enjoy her, but man, she's been really starting to test her limits with us!! Not to mention the fact that we are STILL trying to potty train her. Any experts in the field feel free to come to my house for a week and take over because I swear it seems like there are days where she has absolutely no interest in using the potty. I am nearing wits end...especially with a baby coming soon who will be in diapers, as well. Please pray for us that Kaytin will be out of them by then or I may seriously lose my mind.

Wes is still Wes. He and Kaytin are like two peas in a pod. It is one of the funniest and scariest things for me to watch them playing together...its like watching twins. They giggle and laugh at all the same things and can spend hours just acting silly. Any bets on who this next baby is going to be like? I'm thinking I have no chance in my own home. They all three will be running circles around me laughing like little maniacs. Oh boy.

OK, after all of that...here's hoping I will keep things updated more frequently!
